It was late in the evening with the sun setting, and I was in a hurry to get to the North Head light. I quickly passed by the keepers dwelling and started down the concrete path leading to the light and then just stopped. The ocean below, a hillside covered in wildflowers, and the setting sun made for one of those magical moments where you forget the camera and decide to just enjoy the view.
2011 Update: With the high dynamic range (HDR) tools now available, I went back to my original RAW files and created the HDR image shown above.
