After a fire destroyed the keeper's house in 1959, the only thing that remains is the tower, which by the way, is open to the public. Located at the tip of Stonington Peninsula, this secluded spot lends itself to watching a sunset over Little Bay de Noc. The last time I visited the light in 2001, the Lake Michigan water level was way down, as seen by the great expanse of shoreline.
