Au Sable light is one of my favorites. It can be reached via a one mile hike along the Lake Superior shoreline starting from the Hurricane River campground. Skeletons of two old shipwrecks can sometimes be seen in the water along the way. The lighthouse was designed by Orlando Poe, who used the same plan for the Outer Island light in the Apostle Islands, WI.
