I don't remember much about his light, only that it's a fairly long, but enjoyable, walk out to it on the breakwall. I think the best pictures would be from a boat, but like the picture here, you can take some documentary-type shots from on the breakwall. Local boat traffic in the background may enhance your shots.
Alos, the Rockland/Camden area is a nice place to visit, and while you are there - try some sunset pictures from the top of Mount Beattie(?).
