The Cape Elizabeth light is a private home buried in a residential area. With "no access" signs posted, the tower can be photographed from a side street, or with a telephoto lens from across a small inlet to the south. The lantern room appears to be somewhat unique, but this light's location is overshadowed by that of the Portland Head light.
