The Virginia Aviation Museum is located just outside the Richmond airport and I was surprised to see an SR-71 displayed outside. Six dollars later I walking through the small hangar housing approximately 30 planes - mostly from civilian aviation, including reproductions of several of the Wright Brothers gliders.

The two main military aircraft in the collection are the SR-71, and a A-7D Corsair II, with both on loan from the National Museum of the USAF in Dayton, Ohio. Sadly, it appears the weather is taking its toll on both airframes, as they look like they could use some restoration work.
UPDATE: Since I last visited in 2005, the museum has added an A-4C Skyhawk and a F-14D Tomcat to its display collection.
